Alcanea Hotel

A historical, but neglected building, in the old port of Chania in Crete was a unique location for introducing a unique hotel.

Having been onboard the project since the property evaluation stage, we then worked together with the design team to transform it into a cozy and traditional hotel where the guests would combine the comfort and warmth of a boutique hotel with the feel of a vibrant city.

All architectural finishes, exterior wooden windows and electromechanical installations were replaced, based on the new hotel identity. All unique architectural elements such as the wooden floors and ceilings were restored. Each room was uniquely refurbished and bathrooms were enlarged and upgraded with new tiles, sanitary fittings and vanities.
